Mission-Critical
Ehvert has been involved in the design and implementation of data centres and mission-critical facilities since the early 90s. We have helped develop IT infrastructure and the physical systems that support this infrastructure for many of Canada’s largest organizations. Our projects have ranged in size from small retrofits to large greenfield projects.
Recent projects have included the main federal government data centre, the Hydro-Québec data centre, the Shaw Business Data Centre in Calgary, the MTS Data Centre in Winnipeg, several Cogeco Peer 1 data centres in Ontario, and the main data centre for the University of Toronto, among others.
We have tremendous amounts of experience designing highly redundant and available infrastructure. Our staff, with Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) and Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) accreditations, have been working with the Uptime Institute for many years to deliver Uptime Tier III and Tier IV data centres. Our detailed fault analysis calculations ensure our data centres are designed to an industry-leading level of reliability.
Ehvert has designed some of Canada’s most efficient data centres, using heat containment strategies and revolutionary cooling equipment to deliver free-cooling throughout much of the year, greatly reducing the energy consumption of each data centre’s cooling plant and our customers’ utility costs.
In addition to designing energy-efficient systems, Ehvert is a long-time member of the Canadian Green Building Council, and has delivered LEED Silver and Gold projects across Canada. With experienced LEED Accredited Professionals, we can deliver sustainable building solutions, tailored to your organization’s requirements.
